British carpet manufacturer, Heckmondwike FB, is pleased to announce it has won the Entrance Matting of the Year award, voted for by CFJ readers for its Hippo product. Hippo is part of Heckmondwike FB’s heavy contract carpets specifically designed for entrance areas. The range features a distinctive ribbed surface structure that acts as an ‘interceptor’ by removing excess moisture and dirt from the bottom of shoes, helping to keep the remaining floors and rooms of the building clean and dry. The Hippo carpet range, in particular, features a rubber waffle backing which can either be fully adhered or loose laid into small areas or mat wells.
